عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ:
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ تَعَلَّمُوا الْقُرْآنَ؛ فَإِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ لَا يَدْرِي مَتَى يُخَيَّلُ إِلَيْهِ ؟ قَالَ: فَجَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ، فَقَالَ: يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَرَأَيْتَ رَجُلًا يَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ مَنْكُوسًا ؟ قَالَ: " ذَلِكَ مَنْكُوسُ الْقَلْبِ "، قَالَ: وَأُتِيَ بِمُصْحَفٍ قَدْ زُيِّنَ وَذُهِّبَ قَالَ: فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ: " إِنَّ أَحْسَنَ مَا زُيِّنَ بِهِ الْمُصْحَفُ تِلَاوَتُهُ بِالْحَقِّ
Translation
✧ O people, learn the Qur'an, for one of you does not know when it may be taken from him. A man came to him and said: "O Abu 'Abd al-Rahman, what do you think of a man who recites the Qur'an in reverse order?" He said: "That is one whose heart is reversed." Then a decorated and gilded codex was brought to him, and 'Abd Allah said: "The best adornment of a codex is its recitation in truth."
