عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ بُدَيْلٍ الْعُقَيْلِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ شِخِّيرٍ قَالَ: حَدَثَتْنِي امْرَأَةٌ
أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ، وَهُوَ يَخْطُبُ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: يَا مَعْشَرَ النِّسَاءِ إِذَا اخْتَضَبْتُنَّ، فَإِيَّاكُنَّ النَّقْشَ وَالتَّطْرِيفَ وَلْتَخْضِبْ إِحْدَاكُنَّ يَدَيْهَا إِلَى هَذَا، وَأَشَارَ إِلَى مَوْضِعِ السِّوَارِ
Translation
✧ She heard Umar b. al-Khattab while he was delivering a sermon saying: O assembly of women, when you dye your hands, beware of patterning and marking the fingertips. Let each of you dye her hands up to here, and he pointed to the place of the bracelet.
