✧ Fasting on Monday

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي الْحَكَمُ بْنُ عُتَيْبَةَ،
أَنَّ مُجَاهِدًا كَانَ يَصُومُ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسَ، وَيَقُولُ: " يَوْمَانِ تُرْفَعُ فِيهِمَا الْأَعْمَالُ؛ فَأُحِبُّ أَنْ يُرْفَعَ عَمَلِي وَأَنَا صَائِمٌ
Translation
✧ Mujahid used to fast on Monday and Thursday, and he would say: "These are two days in which deeds are raised up, so I love that my deed is raised while I am fasting."
