✧ The virtue of fasting

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ الْجَزَرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ قَالَتْ:
مَا رَأَيْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ مَسْعُودٍ صَائِمًا قَطُّ غَيْرَ يَوْمَيْنِ إِلَّا رَمَضَانَ قَالَتْ: لَا أَدْرِي مَا كَانَ شَأْنُ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَيْنِ
Translation
✧ I never saw 'Abd Allah b. Mas'ud fasting at all except for two days besides Ramadan. She said: I do not know what the matter of those two days was.
