✧ Breaking a voluntary fast and fasting it if one did not intend it at night

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ:
الصَّوْمُ كَالصَّدَقَةِ، أَرَدْتَ أَنْ تَصُومَ فَبَدَا لَكَ، وَأَرَدْتَ أَنْ تَصَّدَّقَ فَبَدَا لَكَ
Translation
✧ Fasting is like charity: you intended to fast and then changed your mind, and you intended to give charity and then changed your mind.
