عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ هَمَّامٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ:
إِيَّاكُمْ وَالْوِصَالَ، إِيَّاكُمْ وَالْوِصَالَ " قَالُوا: فَإِنَّكَ تُوَاصِلُ ؟ قَالَ: " فَإِنِّي فِي ذَاكُمْ لَسْتُ مِثْلَكُمْ، إِنِّي أَظَلُّ يُطْعِمُنِي رَبِّي، وَيَسْقِينِي، فَاكْلَفُوا مِنَ الْعَمَلِ مَا لَكُمْ بِهِ طَاقَةٌ
Translation
✧ Beware of continuous fasting, beware of continuous fasting. They said, 'But you observe continuous fasting?' He said, 'In that I am not like you. I remain with my Lord feeding me and giving me drink. So take on of deeds what you have the strength for.'
