✧ Standing in prayer during Ramadan

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:

حُدِّثْتُ أَنَّ أَوَّلَ مَنْ قَامَ بِأَهْلِ مَكَّةَ فِي خِلَافَةِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ زَيْدُ بْنُ قُنْفُذِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ جُدْعَانَ، وَكَانَ مَنْ شَاءَ قَامَ مَعَهُ، وَمَنْ شَاءَ قَامَ لِنَفْسِهِ، وَمَنْ شَاءَ طَافَ

Translation

✧ I was told that the first to lead the people of Makkah in night prayer during the caliphate of Umar b. al-Khattab was Zayd b. Qunfudh b. Zayd b. Jud'an. Whoever wished stood with him, whoever wished stood by himself, and whoever wished circumambulated.
