✧ Standing in prayer during Ramadan

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءٌ،
أَنَّ الْقِيَامَ كَانَ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي رَمَضَانَ يَقُومُ النَّفَرُ وَالرَّجُلُ كَذَلِكَ هَاهُنَا، وَالنَّفَرُ وَرَاءَ الرَّجُلِ، فَكَانَ عُمَرُ أَوَّلَ مَنْ جَمَعَ النَّاسَ عَلَى قَارِئٍ وَاحِدٍ.
Translation
✧ The night prayer during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in Ramadan: a small group would stand and a man likewise here, and a small group behind the man. Umar was the first to gather the people behind one reciter.
