Translation
✧ Ubayy used to lead the people during the time of Umar in Ramadan. When it reached the middle of the month, he recited the qunut aloud after the rak'ah. When twenty nights were completed, he departed to his family, and Abu Halima Mu'adh al-Qari led the people, reciting the qunut aloud in the last ten nights. They would hear him say: O Allah, the rain has been withheld—and they would say: Amin. Then he would say: How quick you are to say Amin! Let me finish supplicating.
