✧ The sick person in Ramadan and his making up the fast

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:
قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ: رَجُلٌ مَرِضَ رَمَضَانَ حَتَّى أَدْرَكَهُ رَمَضَانُ آخَرُ مَرِيضًا، فَمَرِضَهُ كُلَّهُ، ثُمَّ صَحَّ، فَلَمْ يَقْضِهِمَا حَتَّى أَدْرَكَهُ الثَّالِثُ قَالَ: كَمْ يُطْعِمُ ؟ قَالَ: " سِتِّينَ مِسْكِينًا سِتِّينَ مُدًّا
Translation
✧ I said to ʿAṭāʾ: A man was ill in Ramadan until another Ramadan came while he was ill, and he was ill for all of it, then he recovered but did not make up either of them until the third Ramadan came. He said: How much should he feed? He said: "Sixty poor people with sixty mudds."
