✧ The sick person in Ramadan and his making up the fast

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ:
مَنْ مَرِضَ فِي رَمَضَانَ فَأَدْرَكَهُ رَمَضَانُ آخَرُ مَرِيضًا، فَلَمْ يَصُمْ هَذَا الْآخَرَ، ثُمَّ يَصُومُ الْأَوَّلَ، وَيُطْعِمُ عَنْ كُلِّ يَوْمٍ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ الْأَوَّلِ مُدًّا قَالَ: وَبَلَغَنِي ذَلِكَ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ
Translation
✧ Whoever falls ill in Ramadan, then another Ramadan reaches him while he is sick, and he does not fast this latter one, then he should fast the first, and feed a mudd for each day of the first Ramadan. He said: And that reached me from Umar b. al-Khattab.
