✧ That which breaks the fast due to pain

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:
سُئِلَ عَطَاءٌ، هَلْ لِلْمَرْءِ رُخْصَةٌ فِي أَنْ يُكْرِهَ خَادِمَهُ عَلَى أَنْ تُفْطِرَ فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ ؟ قَالَ: " لَا "، قَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ: هَلْ لِلرَّاعِي رُخْصَةٌ فِي الْفِطْرِ ؟ قَالَ: لَمْ أَسْمَعْ لَهُ بِرُخْصَةٍ قَالَ: إِنَّهُ لَا يَرَى الْمَالَ إِلَّا رُبُعًا أَوْ ثُلُثًا قَالَ: " لَا يُفْطِرُ
Translation
✧ 'Ata' was asked: 'Does a man have a dispensation to compel his servant to break the fast in the month of Ramadan?' He said: 'No.' A man said to him: 'Does a shepherd have a dispensation to break the fast?' He said: 'I have not heard of any dispensation for him.' He said: 'He does not see the property except as a quarter or a third.' He said: 'He does not break the fast.'
