عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءٌ الْخُرَاسَانِيُّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ الْمُسَيِّبِ يَقُولُ:
جَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ يَضْرِبُ صَدْرَهُ، وَيَنْتِفُ شَعَرَهُ، وَيَقُولُ: هَلَكَ الْأَبْعَدُ، فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: " مَا شَأْنُكَ ؟ " قَالَ: أَصَبْتُ فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ قَالَ: هَلْ تَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ تَعْتِقَ رَقَبَةً ؟ قَالَ: لَا، قَالَ: " فَأَهْدِ "، قَالَ: تُرِيدُ الْجَزُورَ ؟ قَالَ: " مَا هُوَ إِلَّا هِيَ "، قَالَ: وَلَا أَجِدُهُ، قَالَ: " فَاجْلِسْ "، قَالَ: فَجَلَسَ فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ بِمِكْتَلٍ فِيهِ عِشْرُونَ صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ، أَوْ خَمْسَةَ عَشَرَ صَاعًا، فَقَالَ لِلْأَعْرَابِيِّ: " تَصَدَّقْ بِهَا "، فَشَكَا إِلَيْهِ الْحَاجَةَ، فَقَالَ: " عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَى أَهْلِكَ
Translation
✧ A Bedouin came to the Prophet ﷺ striking his chest, pulling out his hair, and saying: The furthest one is ruined. The Prophet ﷺ said to him: "What is the matter with you?" He said: I transgressed in the month of Ramadan. He said: "Can you free a slave?" He said: No. He said: "Then sacrifice." He said: Do you mean a she-camel? He said: "It is nothing but that." He said: I cannot find one. He said: "Then sit." So he sat, and a man came with a basket containing twenty sa's of dates, or fifteen sa's. Then he said to the Bedouin: "Give these in charity." He complained to him of need, so he said: "It is for you and your family."
