Translation

✧ While a man was traveling through a desolate tract of land, a crescent moon appeared. He began looking at it and heard a speaker—whom he could not see—saying: “O Allah, let it appear over us with security and faith, safety and Islam, guidance and forgiveness, success in what pleases You, and protection from what displeases You. My Lord and your Lord is Allah.” He kept repeating it until the man memorized it.
