عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ رُكَيْنِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ رَبِيعِ بْنِ عُمَيْلَةَ قَالَ:
كُنَّا مَعَ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ الْبَاهِلِيِّ بِبَلَنْجَرَ قَالَ: فَرَأَيْتُ الْهِلَالَ ضُحًى لِتَمَامِ ثَلَاثِينَ، فَأَتَيْتُ سَلْمَانَ بْنَ رَبِيعَةَ، فَحَدَّثْتُهُ، فَجَاءَ مَعِي، فَأَرَيْتُهُ إِيَّاهُ مِنْ ظِلٍّ تَحْتَ شَجَرَةٍ فَأَمَرَ النَّاسَ فَأَفْطَرُوا
Translation
✧ We were with Salman b. Rabiʿah al-Bahili at Balanjar. He said: I saw the crescent at mid-morning for the completion of thirty days. I came to Salman b. Rabiʿah and told him. He came with me, and I showed it to him from a shaded place under a tree. He ordered the people, and they broke the fast.
