✧ Give Its Due on the Day of Its Harvest

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ، وَعَنْ غَيْرِهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ:
﴿وَآتُوا حَقَّهُ يَوْمَ حَصَادِهِ ﴾قَالَ: " الصَّدَقَةُ الْمَفْرُوضَةُ، قَالَ سَعِيدٌ: وَقَوْلُهُ: ﴿وَلا تُسْرِفُوا ﴾قَالَ: " لَا تَمْنَعُوا الصَّدَقَةَ فَتَعْصُوا
Translation
✧ “And give its due on the day of its harvest.” He said: “The prescribed charity.” Saʿīd said: “And His statement: ‘And do not be extravagant.’ He said: ‘Do not withhold the charity and thus disobey.’”
