✧ For Whom Is Zakat

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي مَنْ سَمِعَ عِكْرِمَةَ يَقُولُ:
تُعْطِي زَكَاةَ مَالِكَ ذَوِي قَرَابَتِكَ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُونُوا فَمَوَالِيَكَ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُونُوا فَجِيرَانَكَ
Translation
✧ Give the zakat of your wealth to your relatives; if there are none, then your freed clients; if there are none, then your neighbors.
