عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ:
السَّلَفُ يُسْلِفُهُ الرَّجُلُ؟ قَالَ: " فَلَيْسَ عَلَى سَيِّدِ الْمَالِ، وَلَا عَلَى الَّذِي أَسْلَفَهُ صَدَقَةٌ، وَهُوَ حِينَئِذٍ بِمَنْزِلَةِ الدَّيْنِ فِي الصَّدَقَةِ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ أَعْظَمُ أَجْرًا مِنَ الدَّيْنِ، هُوَ زَعَمُوا: مَنِيحَةُ الذَّهَبِ السَّلَفُ، هُوَ الْقَائِلُ
Translation
✧ [He was asked about] a loan that a man gives. He said: “Neither the owner of the wealth nor the one to whom he lent it owes any zakāh. In that case it is like a debt regarding zakāh, except that it is greater in reward than a debt, they claim: the gift of gold is the loan—he is the one saying it.”
