Translation

✧ On two hundred dirhams, five dirhams are due, and whatever exceeds that is according to the same calculation. He said: I said, "What does his statement 'and whatever exceeds that is according to the same calculation' mean?" He said, "Some of them say: when it exceeds two hundred and the excess is forty dirhams, then one dirham is due on it. Others say: 'and whatever exceeds that is according to the same calculation'—if it is ten, then a quarter of a dirham is due on it."
