عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي يَزِيدُ أَبُو خَالِدٍ،
أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ قَالَ لِلْعَبَّاسِ لِإِبَّانِ الزَّكَاةِ: أَدِّ زَكَاةَ مَالِكَ، وَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَمَرَ بِذَلِكَ، فَقَالَ الْعَبَّاسُ: أَدَّيْتُهَا قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ، فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ عُمَرُ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: صَدَقَ قَدْ أَدَّاهَا قَبْلُ
Translation
✧ Umar b. al-Khattab said to al-Abbas at the time of zakat: "Pay the zakat of your wealth." The Prophet ﷺ had commanded that. Al-Abbas said, "I paid it before that." Umar mentioned that to the Prophet ﷺ, and the Prophet ﷺ said, "He has spoken the truth; he paid it before."
