Musannaf 'Abd al-Razzaq 7094

✧ No charity is due on wealth until a year has passed over it

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ:

إِذَا كَانَ عِنْدَكَ مَالٌ تُرِيدُ أَنْ تُزَكِّيَهُ وَبَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَ الْحَوْلِ شَهْرٌ أَوْ شَهْرَانِ، ثُمَّ أَفَدْتَ مَالًا فَزَكِّهِ مَعَهُ، زَكِّهِمَا جَمِيعًا

Translation

✧ If you have wealth that you intend to pay zakat on, and between you and the year there is a month or two, then you acquire wealth, pay zakat on it together with it; pay zakat on both of them together.
