✧ No charity is due on wealth until a year has passed over it

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ حُجَيْرٍ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ قَالَ:
إِنْ جَعَلْتَ مَالًا قَبْلَ الْحَوْلِ فِي شَيْءٍ لَا تُدِيرُهُ لَيْسَ فِيهِ صَدَقَةٌ
Translation
✧ If you put wealth before the year has passed into something you are not circulating, there is no charity on it.
