عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ الْخُرَاسَانِيِّ،
أَنَّ عُمَرَ أَتَاهُ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ، فَسَأَلُوهُ وَادِيًا فَأَعْطَاهُمْ إِيَّاهُ فَقَالُوا: يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، إِنَّ فِيهِ نَحْلًا كَثِيرًا قَالَ: " فَإِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ فِي كُلِّ عَشَرَةِ أَفْرَاقٍ فَرَقًا
Translation
✧ Some people from the people of Yemen came to Umar and asked him for a valley, and he gave it to them. They said: O Commander of the Faithful, there are many bees in it. He said: “Then upon you is one faraq for every ten afrāq.”
