✧ Charity is not lawful for the family of Muhammad ﷺ

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ:
كُنَّا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ يَقْسِمُ تَمْرًا مِنَ الصَّدَقَةِ، وَالْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ فِي حِجْرِهِ، فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ حَمَلَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَلَى عَاتِقِهِ فَسَالَ لُعَابُهُ عَلَى خَدِّ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَرَفَعَ إِلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ رَأْسَهُ، فَإِذَا تَمْرَةٌ فِي فِيهِ، فَأَدْخَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَدَهُ فَانْتَزَعَهَا مِنْهُ، ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهُ: أَمَا عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ الصَّدَقَةَ لَا تَحِلُّ لِآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ
Translation
✧ We were with the Messenger of God ﷺ while he was dividing dates from charity, and al-Hasan b. Ali was in his lap. When he finished, the Prophet ﷺ carried him on his shoulder, and his saliva flowed onto the Prophet's cheek ﷺ. The Prophet ﷺ raised his head to him, and there was a date in his mouth. The Prophet ﷺ put his hand in and extracted it from him, then said to him: "Do you not know that charity is not lawful for the family of Muhammad ﷺ?"
