عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبَانُ قَالَ:
دَخَلْتُ عَلَى الْحَسَنِ وَهُوَ مُتَوَارٍ زَمَانَ الْحَجَّاجِ فِي بَيْتِ أَبِي خَلِيفَةَ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ: سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ أَدْفَعُ الزَّكَاةَ إِلَى الْأُمَرَاءِ ؟ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ: ضَعْهَا فِي الْفُقَرَاءِ وَالْمَسَاكِينِ، قَالَ: فَقَالَ لِي الْحَسَنُ: أَلَمْ أَقُلْ لَكَ: إِنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ إِذَا أَمِنَ الرَّجُلَ قَالَ: " ضَعْهَا فِي الْفُقَرَاءِ، وَالْمَسَاكِينِ
Translation
✧ I entered upon al-Hasan while he was hiding during the time of al-Hajjaj in the house of Abu Khalifah. A man said to him: I asked Ibn Umar: Should I hand over zakah to the commanders? Ibn Umar said: Put it among the poor and the needy. He said: Al-Hasan said to me: Did I not tell you that Ibn Umar, when he felt safe with a man, would say: "Put it among the poor and the needy."
