✧ When the required age of livestock is not available

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: قَالَ عَمْرُو بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ: قَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ:
فَإِذَا لَمْ يُوجَدِ السِّنُّ الَّتِي دُونَهَا أُخِذَتِ الَّتِي فَوْقَهَا وَرُدَّ إِلَى صَاحِبِ الْمَاشِيَةِ شَاتَانِ أَوْ عَشَرَةُ دَرَاهِمَ
Translation
✧ If the age below it is not found, the age above it is taken, and the livestock owner is given two sheep or ten dirhams.
