✧ Rinsing the Mouth After Drinks

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي حَسَنُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ،
أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ شَرِبَ سَوِيقًا دَقِيقًا فِي مَسْجِدِ الْبَصْرَةِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ الْغَضْبَانُ بْنُ الْقَبَعْثَرِيِّ: أَلَا تُمَضْمِضُ ؟ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: اسْمَحْ يُسْمَحْ لَكُمْ، وَلَمْ يُمَضْمِضْ
Translation
✧ Ibn 'Abbas drank finely ground barley drink in the mosque of Basra. Al-Ghadban b. al-Qaba'thari said to him: 'Will you not rinse your mouth?' Ibn 'Abbas said: 'Be lenient and leniency will be shown to you,' and he did not rinse his mouth.
