عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: قَالَ عَمْرُو بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ،
إِنَّ مُعَاذَ بْنَ جَبَلٍ لَمْ يَزَلْ بِالْجَنَدِ إِذْ بَعَثَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَى الْيَمَنِ حَتَّى مَاتَ، وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ، ثُمَّ قَدِمَ عَلَى عُمَرَ فَرَدَّهُ عَلَى مَا كَانَ عَلَيْهِ
Translation
Chain of narrators
machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq, from Ibn Jurayj, who said: ʿAmr b. Shuʿayb said,
✧ Muadh b. Jabal remained in al-Janad from when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent him to Yemen until he died, and Abu Bakr, then he came to Umar and he sent him back to what he had been upon.
