عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ:

بَلَغَنَا أَنَّ الصَّدَقَةَ تَكُونُ فِي الْمَوَاشِي فِي ثُلُثِ الْمَالِ الْأَوْسَطِ، قَالَ: " فَإِنْ كَانَتِ الْإِبِلُ أُخْرِجَتْ فَرَائِضُ الَّتِي تُخْتَارُ مِنَ الصَّدَقَةِ، فَيَخْتَارُ سَيِّدُ الْمَاشِيَةِ فَرِيضَةً، وَيَخْتَارُ الْمُصَدِّقُ فَرِيضَةً حَتَّى يَسْتَوْفِيَ الْمُصَدِّقُ حَقَّهُ، فَإِنْ كَانَتْ مِنَ الْبَقَرِ أُخِذَتْ بَقَرَةٌ مِنْ وَسَطِ الْمَالِ مُسِنَّةٌ أَوْ ثَنِيَّةٌ فَصَاعِدًا، وَإِنْ كَانَتْ مِنَ الْغَنَمِ قُسِمَتِ الْغَنَمُ ثَلَاثَةَ أَثْلَاثٍ، فَاخْتَارَ سَيِّدُ الْمَالِ ثُلُثًا، وَاخْتَارَ الْمُصَدِّقُ مِنَ الثُّلُثِ الَّذِي يَلِيهِ حَقَّهُ

Translation

✧ It has reached us that zakah on livestock is from the middle third of the wealth. He said: "If it is camels, the obligatory shares that are selected for zakah are taken out: the owner of the livestock selects one share and the collector selects one share until the collector fulfills his due. If it is cattle, a cow is taken from the middle of the wealth, a musinnah or a thaniyyah or older. If it is sheep, the flock is divided into three thirds: the owner of the wealth chooses one third, and the collector chooses his due from the third that follows it."
