✧ Sweating of the sick person

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ قَالَ:
كَانَ عِنْدَ أَخٍ لَهُ وَهُوَ يَسُوقُ فَجَعَلَ يَرْشَحُ جَبِينُهُ، فَضَحِكَ عَلْقَمَةُ، فَقَالَ لَهُ يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَوْسٍ: مَا يُضْحِكُكَ يَا أَبَا شِبْلٍ ؟ قَالَ: إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ مَسْعُودٍ يَقُولُ: إِنَّ نَفْسَ الْمُؤْمِنِ تَخْرُجُ رَشْحًا، وَإِنَّ نَفْسَ الْكَافِرِ تَخْرُجُ مِنْ شِدْقِهِ كَمَا تَخْرُجُ نَفْسُ الْحِمَارِ، إِنَّ الْمُؤْمِنَ لَيُشَدَّدُ عَلَيْهِ عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ بِالسَّيِّئَةِ قَدْ عَمِلَهَا لِتَكُونَ بِهَا، وَإِنَّ الْكَافِرَ لَيُهَوَّنُ عَلَيْهِ عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ بِالْحَسَنَةِ قَدْ عَمِلَهَا لِتَكُونَ بِهَا
Translation
✧ He was with a brother of his while he was driving camels, and his forehead began to bead with sweat. Alqamah laughed, so Yazid b. Aws said to him: “What makes you laugh, O Abu Shibl?” He said: “I heard Abd Allah b. Masud say: The soul of the believer comes out as sweat, and the soul of the disbeliever comes out from the side of his mouth as the soul of a donkey comes out. The believer is made to suffer at his death for a bad deed he had done, so that it may be requited thereby; and the disbeliever is made to have it easy at his death for a good deed he had done, so that it may be requited thereby.”
