Translation
✧ Abu Bakr was seized by the swoon of death, and she wept over him—meaning Aishah—with a line of poetry: “He whose tears do not cease to be restrained must one day be shed.” He said: Then he regained consciousness and said: “Rather, the agony of death has come with the truth—that is what you were trying to avoid.”
