عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ عُمَيْسٍ قَالَتْ:
لَمَّا أُصِيبَ جَعْفَرٌ جَاءَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَقَالَ: " يَا أَسْمَاءُ لَا تَقُولِي هُجْرًا، وَلَا تَضْرِبِي صَدْرًا " قَالَتْ: وَأَقْبَلَتْ فَاطِمَةُ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: " يَا ابْنَ عَمَّاهُ " فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: " عَلَى مِثْلِ جَعْفَرٍ فَلْتَبْكِ الْبَاكِيَةُ " قَالَتْ: ثُمَّ عَاجَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ فَقَالَ: اصْنَعُوا لِآلِ جَعْفَرٍ طَعَامًا، فَقَدْ شُغِلُوا الْيَوْمَ
Translation
✧ When Ja'far was struck down, the Messenger of God ﷺ came to me and said: O Asma', do not say anything indecent and do not strike your chest. She said: Fatima came forward saying, 'O cousin!' The Prophet ﷺ said: For one like Ja'far, let the weepers weep. She said: Then the Prophet ﷺ turned to his family and said: Prepare food for the family of Ja'far, for they are preoccupied today.
