عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ يَقُولُ:
لَمَّا أَرَادَ مُعَاوِيَةُ أَنْ يُجْرِيَ الْكِظَامَةَ قَالَ: مَنْ كَانَ لَهُ قَتِيلٌ فَلْيَأْتِ قَتِيلَهُ - يَعْنِي قَتْلَى أُحُدٍ - قَالَ: فَأَخْرَجَهُمْ رِطَابًا يَتَثَنَّوْنَ قَالَ: " فَأَصَابَتِ الْمِسْحَاةُ رِجْلَ رَجُلٍ مِنْهُمْ فَانْفَطَرَتْ دَمًا " فَقَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ: " لَا يُنْكِرْ بَعْدَ هَذَا مُنْكِرٌ أَبَدًا
Translation
✧ When Mu'awiya wanted to run the water channel, he said: Whoever has a slain relative, let him come for his slain one – meaning the slain of Uhud. He said: He brought them out fresh, bending. He said: The shovel struck the leg of one of them, and it gushed blood. Abu Sa'id said: After this, no denier should ever deny.
