✧ When the obligatory prayer and the funeral coincide

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ:
إِذَا حَضَرَتْ صَلَاةٌ مَكْتُوبَةٌ وَجِنَازَةٌ بُدِئَ بِالْمَكْتُوبَةِ
Translation
✧ When an obligatory prayer and a funeral are both present, one begins with the obligatory prayer.
