Translation
✧ Ibn ‘Umar said on the day the funeral of Rafi‘ b. Khadij was placed in Baqi‘ al-Gharqad: “They want to pray over it after Subh, before the sun rises. Ibn ‘Umar shouted to the people: ‘Do you not fear God? It is not proper for you to pray over funerals after Subh until the sun rises, nor after ‘Asr until the sun sets.’” So the people stopped and did not pray over it until the sun rose.
