عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ قَالَ:
كَانَ شُرَيْحٌ يَتَعَمَّدُ بِمَوْتَاهُ اللَّيْلَ، وَإِذَا أَصْبَحَ سُئِلَ عَنْهُ فَقَالَ: " قَدْ هَدَأَ وَنَرْجُو أَنْ يَكُونَ قَدِ اسْتَرَاحَ
Translation
✧ Shurayh used to deliberately bury his dead at night, and when morning came he was asked about it, and he said: “He has become still, and we hope that he has found rest.”
