✧ Supplication for the deceased when finished with him

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ أَبِي مُدْرِكٍ الْأَشْجَعِيِّ،
أَنَّ عُمَرَ إِذَا سَوَّى عَلَى الْمَيِّتِ قَبْرَهُ قَالَ: " اللَّهُمَّ أَسْلَمَهُ إِلَيْكَ وَالْأَهْلُ وَالْمَالُ وَالْعَشِيرَةُ، وَذَنْبُهُ عَظِيمٌ فَاغْفِرْ لَهُ
Translation
✧ When ʿUmar had leveled the grave over a deceased person, he said: “O Allah, he has been surrendered to You along with family, wealth, and kinsfolk. His sin is great, so forgive him.”
