عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي مَنْ أُصَدِّقُ
أَنَّهُ " نَزَلَ فِي قَبْرِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ عَلِيٌّ وَالْفَضْلُ، وَوَلِيَ عَلِيٌّ سَفْلَتَهُ فِي الْقَبْرِ، وَنَزَلَ مَعَهُمْ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ "، قَالَتِ الْأَنْصَارُ: قَدْ كَانَ لَنَا حَظٌّ فِي حَيَاتِهِ فَاجْعَلُوا لَنَا حَظًّا فِي مَوْتِهِ، فَأَنْزَلُوا ذَلِكَ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ مَعَهُمْ، وَبَلَغَنِي أَنَّهُ خَوْلِيُّ بْنُ أَوْسٍ
Translation
✧ Ali and al-Fadl descended into the grave of the Prophet ﷺ, and Ali took charge of the lower part of the grave. A man from the Ansar descended with them. The Ansar said: "We had a share in his life, so give us a share in his death." So they let that Ansari down with them, and I have heard that he was Khawli b. Aws.
