✧ Recitation and supplication in the prayer over the deceased

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْحُوَيْرِثِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ،
أَنَّهُ كَانَ إِذَا صَلَّى عَلَى الْجِنَازَةِ قَالَ: " اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ لَنَا فَرَطًا، وَاجْعَلِ الْجَنَّةَ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَهُ مَوْعِدًا، اللَّهُمَّ لَا تَحْرِمْنَا أَجْرَهُ، وَلَا تُضِلَّنَا بَعْدَهُ
Translation
✧ When he prayed over a funeral, he would say: 'O Allah, make him a forerunner for us, and make Paradise an appointed meeting between us and him. O Allah, do not deprive us of his reward and do not lead us astray after him.'
