✧ Recitation and supplication in the prayer over the deceased

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِإِبْرَاهِيمَ:
عَلَى الْمَيِّتِ شَيْءٌ مُوَقَّتٌ ؟ قَالَ: لَا أَعْلَمُهُ، قَالَ سُفْيَانُ: وَبَلَغَنَا أَنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ: " عَلَيْهِ الدُّعَاءُ وَالِاسْتِغْفَارُ
Translation
✧ Is there anything specified over the deceased? He said: 'I do not know of it.' Sufyan said: 'It has reached us that Ibrahim said: "Upon him is supplication and seeking forgiveness."'
