✧ Recitation and supplication in the prayer over the deceased

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ،
كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي التَّكْبِيرَاتِ كُلِّهَا بِأُمِّ الْقُرْآنِ يَقُولُ: " اللَّهُمَّ عَبْدُكَ فُلَانٌ، عَظِّمْ أَجْرَهُ وَنُورَهُ وَأَلْحِقْهُ بِنَبِيِّهِ ﷺ وَأَفْسِحْ لَهُ فِي قَبْرِهِ، اللَّهُمَّ لَا تَحْرِمْنَا أَجْرَهُ وَلَا تُضِلَّنَا بَعْدَهُ
Translation
✧ He used to recite in all of the takbirs the Opening of the Book (al-Fatihah), saying: 'O Allah, Your servant so-and-so — magnify his reward, illuminate him, and join him to his Prophet ﷺ, and make his grave spacious for him. O Allah, do not deprive us of his reward and do not lead us astray after him.'
