عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ،
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فُرِشَ فِي قَبْرِهِ جَرِدُ قَطِيفَةٍ كَانَ يَرْكَبُ عَلَيْهَا فِي حَيَاتِهِ، قُلْنَا لِأَبِي بَكْرٍ: فَلَوْ فَعَلَ النَّاسُ ذَلِكَ ؟ قَالَ: كَلَّا، إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ لَيْسَ كَغَيْرِهِ.
Translation
✧ A worn velvet cloth that the Prophet ﷺ used to ride on during his life was spread in his grave. We said to Abu Bakr, “If only people would do that.” He said, “No, the Prophet ﷺ is not like anyone else.”
