أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا الثَّوْرِيُّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ قَالَ:
شَهِدْتُ حُسَيْنًا حِينَ مَاتَ الْحَسَنُ وَهُوَ يَدْفَعُ فِي قَفَا سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْعَاصِ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: تَقَدَّمْ فَلَوْلَا السُّنَّةُ مَا قَدَّمْتُكَ، وَسَعِيدٌ أَمِيرٌ عَلَى الْمَدِينَةِ يَوْمَئِذٍ قَالَ: فَلَمَّا صَلَّوْا عَلَيْهِ قَامَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ فَقَالَ: أَتَنْفَسُونَ عَلَى ابْنِ نَبِيِّكُمْ ﷺ تُرْبَةً يَدْفِنُونَهُ فِيهَا ؟ ثُمَّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: مَنْ أَحَبَّهُمَا فَقَدْ أَحَبَّنِي، وَمَنْ أَبْغَضَهُمَا فَقَدْ أَبْغَضَنِي
Translation
✧ I witnessed Husayn when Hasan died, pushing Sa'id b. al-'As from behind and saying: "Go forward, for were it not for the Sunnah I would not have put you forward." Sa'id was governor of Madinah at that time. He said: When they had prayed over him, Abu Hurayrah stood up and said: "Do you begrudge the son of your Prophet ﷺ a piece of earth in which to bury him?" Then he said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Whoever loves them has loved me, and whoever hates them has hated me.'"
