✧ Those Who Said One Does Not Perform Ablution from What Fire Has Touched

أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، وَابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَا: أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُنْكَدِرِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ يَقُولُ:
قُرِّبَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ خُبْزٌ وَلَحْمٌ، ثُمَّ دَعَا بِوَضُوءٍ، فَتَوَضَّأَ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ، ثُمَّ دَعَا بِفَضْلِ طَعَامِهِ فَأَكَلَ، ثُمَّ قَامَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ قَالَ: ثُمَّ دَخَلْتُ مَعَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ فَقَالَ: هَلْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ ؟ فَوَاللهِ مَا وَجَدَهُ، فَقَالَ: أَيْنَ شَاتُكُمْ ؟ فَأُتِيَ بِهَا فَاعْتَقَلَهَا، ثُمَّ حَلَبَ لَنَا فَصَنَعَ لَنَا حسبنا [١]، فَأَكَلْنَا، ثُمَّ قُمْنَا إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ، ثُمَّ دَخَلْتُ مَعَ عُمَرَ فَوُضِعَتْ هَاهَنَا جَفْنَةٌ فِيهَا خُبْزٌ وَلَحْمٌ، وَهَاهَنَا جَفْنَةٌ فِيهَا خُبْزٌ وَلَحْمٌ، فَأَكَلَ عُمَرُ، ثُمَّ قَامَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ
Translation
✧ Bread and meat were served to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, then he called for water for ablution and performed ablution, then prayed Zuhr. Then he called for the remainder of his food and ate. Then he stood for prayer without performing ablution. He said: Then I entered with Abu Bakr, and he said: Is there anything? By Allah, he found nothing. He said: Where is your sheep? It was brought to him, and he took hold of it, then milked it for us and made for us hisba [1], so we ate. Then we stood for prayer without performing ablution. Then I entered with Umar, and here a large bowl was placed containing bread and meat, and here a large bowl containing bread and meat. Umar ate, then stood for prayer without performing ablution.
