✧ Raising the hands in the takbir over funerals

6414 6363 - عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ قَالَ:
بَلَغَهُ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ.
The text that “the like of it” refers to
أَنَّه كَانَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ فِي التَّكْبِيرَةِ الْأُولَى ثُمَّ لَا يَرْفَعُ بَعْدُ فِي التَّكْبِيرِ عَلَى الْجَنَائِزِ وَكَانَ يُكَبِّرُ أَرْبَعًا
Translation
✧ It reached him from Ibn Mas'ud something similar. [Hidden matn: He used to raise his hands in the first takbir only, then he did not raise them after that in the takbir over funerals, and he used to pronounce four takbirs.]
