✧ Standing when one sees a funeral

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ: قِيَامُ مَنْ يَرَاهَا ؟ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدٌ مَوْلَى السَّائِبِ قَالَ:
اتَّبَعَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ جِنَازَةً وَمَعَهُ عُبَيْدُ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ وَابْنُ أَبِي عَقْرَبٍ وَأَنَا أَتَّبِعُهُمْ، فَقَالَ: " فَمَضَى أَمَامَهَا فَجَلَسَ، حَتَّى إِذَا حَاذَتْ بِهِ قَامَ حَتَّى خَلَّفَتْهُ
Translation
✧ Ibn Umar followed a funeral, and with him were Ubayd b. Umayr and Ibn Abi Aqrab, and I was following them. He said: "He went ahead of it and sat down, until when it came level with him, he stood up until it had passed him."
