✧ Offering the funeral prayer without wudu

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:
قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ: اتَّبَعَ الْجِنَازَةَ أَيَحْمِلُهَا غَيْرُ الْمُتَوَضِّئِ ؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ، وَأَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ أَنْ يَكُونَ طَاهِرًا، وَلَكِنْ لَا يُصَلِّي عَلَيْهَا إِلَّا مُتَوَضِّئٌ، وَلَا يُصَلِّي عَلَيْهَا الْحَائِضُ "، هُوَ الْقَائِلُ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لَهُ: الذَّهَابُ إِلَى الْمَنَاسِكِ وَالدَّفْعَتَيْنِ بِوُضُوءٍ ؟ قَالَ: " وَبِغَيْرِ وُضُوءٍ
Translation
✧ I said to Ata: If one follows a funeral, may someone without wudu carry it? He said: "Yes, and I prefer that he be pure, but no one should pray over it except one with wudu, and the menstruating woman should not pray over it." He was the one who said: I said to him: Going to the rituals and the two pushes with wudu? He said: "And without wudu."
