✧ The virtue of following funerals

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي الْحَارِثُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ، أَنَّ نَافِعَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ:
مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَى جِنَازَةٍ وَتَبِعَهَا فَلَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ مِنَ الْأَجْرِ مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ، وَمَنْ صَلَّى وَلَمْ يَتْبَعْ فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ
Translation
✧ Whoever prays over a funeral and follows it has two qīrāṭs of reward, like Uḥud, and whoever prays but does not follow has one qīrāṭ, like Uḥud.
