✧ The virtue of following funerals

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيُّ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:
مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَى جِنَازَةٍ فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ مِنَ الْأَجْرِ، وَمَنِ انْتَظَرَهَا حَتَّى تُوضَعَ فِي اللَّحْدِ فَلَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ " قِيلَ: وَمَا الْقِيرَاطَانِ ؟ قَالَ: " مِثْلُ الْجَبَلَيْنِ الْعَظِيمَيْنِ
Translation
✧ Whoever prays over a funeral has a qīrāṭ of reward, and whoever waits for it until it is placed in the grave niche has two qīrāṭs. It was said: What are the two qīrāṭs? He said: Like two great mountains.
