Translation

✧ In those days a man would be shrouded in a single garment: if his head was covered, his feet were uncovered, and if his feet were covered, his head was uncovered. He said: Abu Bakr ordered either Aishah or Asma bt. Umays to wash two garments in which he had been treated during his illness. Aishah said: Or new clothes, or better than them? He said: "The living are more entitled to that."
